Maggie has been developing the craft of felt making at Warrah for many years as healthy as developing and implementing many other creative programs. Warrah is a Rudolf Steiner organization providing a range of engaging, responsive services for children and adults with intellectual disability that maximize each person's capacity for self determination, creativity and contribution. Whatever piece of Warrah you want to labor in, we look for people who are: Interested in Warrah’s unique approach to working with people with disabilities. Commitment to support the rights, interests and the needs of people with disabilities. The position is fulltime and requires an individual prepared to learn about Curative Education and Steiner Education if not already Steiner trained. Warrah provides services and promote to adults with disabilities in their home, work, social and community life. We strive to comprehend each person’s needs, empowering them to make choices, prosper and contribute in their home, work, social and community life each and every day. Participation in and contribution to the local community such as work experience or volunteering. With a (strengths) based approach, Warrah provides a expansive range of day promote options and services to cater for individual needs. Warrah offers a Farm Skills program for people with disability to prosper knowledge and practice of trivial scale organic farming techniques. The Unbiased also aims to raise funds to encourage some of Warrah’s innovative projects. A vogue project is the fit out of a Farm Training Room equipped to deliver foodie’ courses to people with disability that feature Warrah’s freshly grown farm produce. Wanted White Elephant Stall Donations A White Elephant or secondhand stall consists of selling preloved toys, bricabrac and household items, and is based on the idea that one person’s trash is another’s treasure. The Warrah Society warmly invites our local community members, friends, family and staff members to apply for a variety of designated Volunteer Roles at our annual Warrah Spring Fair. The generosity and goodwill of volunteers will assist to elevate much required funds to assist encourage our services and urge all the wonderful things that we do here at the Warrah Society. Our main campus in Duran is set on 30 acres (12 ha) and is an environmental haven. Our services include Residential and Day Services for adults with intellectual and other disabilities who need urge in their daily lives. Values of self determination, creativity and contribution underpin Warrah's approach to supporting people with disability. Warrah’s center based services are designed to bear tall quality encourage and opportunities to smaller groups of people with common interests and goals. Warrah’s center based services use the center as a base, and the local community is utilized for activities and engagement.
